Adult Coaching

– including Access to Work specialist 1:1 support/Coping strategy workshops

Every job and every individual is different. I understand this and will support you in the most appropriate way for your needs in your workplace or whatever location is appropriate.

Access to Work will often provide some funded sessions for adults in the workplace to develop their working practices and confidence in their role.

A first session will involve getting to know you and your role and, if you would like, this can involve your line manager or HR representative. This can be useful in helping to share your perspective as an adult with a disability/learning difference and start a useful conversation to ensure that you have equal access to your role and the right support at work once your sessions are finished.

Common areas of support may include helping you to understand better your areas of strength and weakness, organisational support including looking at where we can streamline your processes. Support in your written skills, proof reading, research and following all the steps in a process correctly.

Please contact me if you would like an Access to Work quotation, understand how to apply or are an adult who would like guidance independent of their employer.

Workplace consultation and Needs Assessment

This service can be helpful for employees who are struggling to keep up with their work duties because of the introduction of new processes. It can also help people with a new diagnosis of a specific learning difficulty that want to understand better how they can work to make processes easier in the workplace in view of their diagnosis.

The consultant will come to the place of work, and will usually include an interview with the individual, the line manager as well as observation of the employee performing their role, to get first-hand information on any difficulties they are experiencing. This makes sure that all parties are able to communicate openly and resolve any issues that may be preventing successful progress.

Equally designed to be a supportive process for people at risk of performance management or already undertaking the process, to ensure that the employer is providing the right sort of reasonable adjustments to support their employee.

We provide a detailed report with suggestions for reasonable adjustments to help the employee work more effectively.
