Bella was my dyslexia tutor for many years (7 years I think) I learnt lots from Bella in the lessons she taught me how to tell the time, complete the alphabet and times tables.
One of my biggest achievements Bella taught me was to complete a times table square within two minutes which still sticks with me now and came in great use for my GCSE maths exam which I proudly passed.
Bella was a pleasure to have as a tutor and made me feel very relaxed and always listened to what I had to say and made our lessons fun.
I will always remember what Bella helped me with and certainly wouldn’t be where I am today without her and I would totally recommend her over and over...

We were fortunate enough to meet Bella just as my daughter was diagnosed with Dyslexia; the assessment Bella conducted was comprehensive, informative and reassuring. The impact her teaching made was immediate- my daughter visibly increased in self-confidence and learning independence, and she returns from every session happier and with lots of ideas to try out.

It has become very clear that Bella is a specialist, both knowledgeable but also able to communicate and relate to those with Dyslexia. The fact that my daughter is thriving in an academic secondary school is due to the continuing support, encouragement and expertise of Bella.

In 2017, I met Bella Maclaren whilst studying for my Social work degree. I was diagnosed with dyspraxia and dyslexia and was finding it challenging to complete my assignments. Bella made me feel comfortable and at ease at the same time supported me in understanding how to improve my grades by the use of learning tools.

Bella was always punctual and professional. Bella taught me how to structure assignments and how to analyse the assignment questions in order to obtain a fuller more detailed description of what was being asked.

I enjoyed the time working with Bella as she has a wealth of knowledge and is open and willing to learn new things. This is why I am supporting Bella in her new venture as her love for teaching goes beyond the University and it shows.

My daughter was assessed and diagnosed as having both Dyslexic and Dyscalculia. She was tutored from the end of primary school till secondary school. Which enabled her to achieve passes in both her maths and English GCSE. Bella was patient, understanding and knowledgeable with regards to both and gave my daughter many techniques to help her with her work - most importantly the confidence to realise that she could achieve positive results. I would highly recommend Bella for all ages for tutoring.

Bella first screened and worked with our daughter Lily through Dyslexia Action when she was 8 years old. Bella immediately gave us confidence, helping both Lily feel more positive and myself more able to understand dyslexia.
Bella’s kind, conscientious and cheerful approach always made going to lessons a pleasure. She set obtainable, reachable goals for Lily. She helped us to see dyslexia as just a hurdle and that Lily could achieve the same as her peers with support.
